A Regional Green House Gases Inventory Update and Initiatives for Mitigation
On Wed. Oct. 8, 2014, Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection (4CP) will be hosting Shawn Megill Legendre, of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). Mr. Legendre will summarize findings from the most recent inventory of greenhouse gases and regional energy use. He will also discuss ongoing energy and climate initiatives in the Delaware Valley and how they relate to activities in Chester County.
At the DVRPC, Mr. Legendre is a research analyst in both the Office of Energy and Climate Change Initiatives and the Office of Environmental Planning. He led development of DVRPC’s 2010 Energy Use and Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Greater Philadelphia and associated reporting tools. Mr. Legendre has also contributed to Ready to Roll!: Southeastern Pennsylvania’s Regional Electric Vehicle Action Plan and currently assists municipalities with natural gas vehicle readiness activities through the Pennsylvania Partnership to Promote Natural Gas Vehicles.
