Pacem in Terris (Peace on Earth) celebrates its 50th anniversary with this speaker series. 100 Years of Peace and Justice addresses the major peace and justice related issues of the last 50 years (what society has accomplished), and looks forward to what needs to be accomplished in the the next 50. Our hope is that this series will help us all take stock of where we are and what we need to do in these troubling times.

Feb. 28: George Lakey, peace activist, author of Viking Economics; peace and justice in our social and economic systems, non-violent social change.
Mar. 24: Reiner Braun, German peace activist, executive director of International Peace Bureau; peace and justice in our international systems, nuclear weapons systems.
Apr. 25: David Hartsough, peace activist, author of Waging Peace, co-founder of Nonviolent Peaceforce, and World Beyond War; peace and justice in our local and international systems, non-violent social change.
May 30: John Bonifaz, constitutional attorney, president of Free Speech for People; peace and justice in the U.S. democracy, voting rights, electoral reform.
Sept. 19: Bill Frelick, director of Human Rights Watch‘s refugee program; peace, justice, and humanitarian rights for all people.
