Join us on Sat, Feb 2nd, 9am-4pm, for our Annual Planning Meeting! This is an auspicious year for TTM – our 10th year as a Transition Town and Aleisa’s first year as President! Come witness the first official “transfer of power” in TTM’s history and help welcome her into her new position!
PLEASE RSVP. If you will be having lunch with us, please let us know that too, so that we know how much to order. Details:
We’ll be in Fellowship Hall at the Methodist Church at the corner of State & Lemon (350 W State St, Media 19063). The entrance is on Lemon Street, near Baker St. There will be a TTM sign by the entrance. Parking is available on State, Baker and other nearby streets and in various lots around the church, including a municipal lot at Orange & Baker.
We ask that you please bring either $20 if you’d like lunch to be included, or $10 if you are bringing your own lunch. If this is a problem for you, come anyway – it’s not a problem for us.
Please arrive at 8:30am to sign in, get your name tag, grab some sustenance (coffee, tea, fabulous homemade scones and other goodies will be available!) and settle in so we can start right at 9am. The morning will entail a short intro to Transition, our year-in-review with all the things we accomplished in 2018, and a powerful visioning session. In the afternoon, we’ll delve into the projects and events we’d like to take on in 2019.
You don’t need to bring anything else, but given it’s a day-long event, you may want: layered clothing (it should be warm inside but temperature can fluctuate), a seat cushion, a beverage container for water and/or hot drinks, snacks if you want or need something in particular (we will provide coffee, tea and water, as well as some munchables besides the early morning fare and lunch). You should definitely bring your full attention and a commitment to getting a lot out of the event as well as to contributing your voice where it will make a difference!
If you’re only interested in hearing a little bit about Transition and what we’ve been up to, feel free to just come for the morning and stay for lunch or not as you like – just let us know your plans, please! The afternoon will be more of a working session when we’ll map out what we’ll take on for 2019.
Thanks for attending! I appreciate the time and commitment it takes to spend your Saturday in a workshop. We intend for it to be an inspiring and fun day and we’re thrilled that you all will be a part of it! If you have any questions I haven’t answered above, please write and ask.
I am considering , with other committed individuals, starting an initiative in my town. Germantown, MD. Would it be appropriate and acceptable to be witness to your annual planning meeting?
