Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection (4CP) invites you to join us on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the West Chester, PA Borough Hall, 401 East Gay Street, Room 240, to participate in our program, A Six-Step Climate Program: Pragmatic business solutions will greatly reduce most of the climate risks, by Bill Haaf & Dianne Herrin, “Ethical yet Pragmatic Energy”.
The world is going to get hotter. We will explain why. Too late to stop that. But you should start planning. It is all about the huge risks to your kids and actually most life forms. Let‘s review the Biggies.
The main focus will be on pragmatic business solutions. Climate science is solid “enough”. This we will not review; but have slides at the end for questions. Congress is in “Looney Tunes Land” (“We are not scientists and will not even ask a scientist.”). We must work around them. We will explain how and who should take the lead.
We will suggest a six step pragmatic approach. Only one is a silver bullet – the rest are tough but doable (once you accept the climate science). We will welcome feedback & debate at the end.
William Haaf – Retired from DuPont after 38 yrs. He started as a chemist, then evolved to industrial hygienist. Further, he evolved to leading the corporate environmental audit program and his final metamorphosis was to develop and lead the corporate Product Stewardship program for 15 yrs. He has served on the board of 4CP and the Brandywine Valley Watershed Association.
Dianne Herrin has been an activist in getting out the message of the serious consequences of climate change and the need for a sustainable society for a number of years. She is the Director of Energy Programs at Practical Energy Solutions and was the second recipient of 4CPs annual Gene Wilson Award for environmental excellence.
