Bryan Stevenson, founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative and author of Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, will give a public lecture on mass incarceration, punishment, race and justice in the US. His book lends faces and individual stories to the statistics in The New Jim Crow.

Driving directions to Lang Performing Arts Center on Swarthmore College campus: Coming from the city of Chester on Rte. 320 (Chester Rd.), make a left on Elm Ave. (the next street after the light at College Ave.) and go two blocks, then make a left at Whittier Place (where there are 2 large stone pillars). Follow it to the end and you will see a large parking lot on your right. Park there and walk down the pathway in front of the large science building ahead of you until you get to the entrance to Lang Performing Arts Center on your right.
