Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection invites you to a talk by Dr. Michael T. Rock, Samuel and Etta Wexler Professor of Economic History, Bryn Mawr College on Wednesday, February 12, 7:00 PM. Our program will be on CHINA’S GREEN GROWTH STRATEGY: Technological learning, energy use, and CO2 emissions in China’s energy-intensive industries.
Dr. Michael Rock will discuss China’s growing economy and its green growth strategy as it strives towards technological catch-up and energy independence.
Dr. Michael Rock is the Samuel and Etta Wexler Professor of Economic History at Bryn Mawr College. His published research focuses on East and Southeast Asia where he writes about the environment and economic development, industrial policy and development, and democracy and economic growth. Oxford University Press has agreed to publish his latest book, with Michael Toman of the World Bank, on the impact of technological modernization on energy use in China’s energy intensive industries.
