Our transportation sector is now our country’s cities’ biggest source of climate pollution. Thankfully, national fuel-efficiency standards have been working to curb that pollution and protect our health — but now they’re at risk.
Just as our fuel-efficiency “Clean Car” standards are about to turn 6 years old, the EPA is threatening to roll them back entirely. These clean cars standards are the single largest thing our country has done to combat climate pollution and we need to keep them intact.
So we’re hosting a Clean Cars Birthday Bash on October 13th to highlight how clean cars are already delivering consumer savings, improving air quality, and protecting our health and climate!
We would love for you and your affiliates to join us in support of Clean Cars! Please share the event details with your friends, family, coworkers, and anyone you think would be interested! It should be a great time, and of course there will be some FREE CAKE!
Hear from great speakers such as Gary Morton of AFGE 3631- EPA Region 3, Christine Knapp, director of Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability, and others while enjoying some free cake and a fun birthday celebration! Make your voice heard and take actions with us to defend these critical standards from this dangerous roll back.
The EPA is holding a public comment period only until October 26th. This will be one of your last chances to make your voice heard and fight for the fuel-efficiency standards. Come take some action and have some fun with us! Click here to RSVP now. Feel free to contact Alex with any questions or concerns at alex@pennenvironment.org
