Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection invites you to join us to participate in our program “Clean Energy & Climate Change Initiatives in PA” by Christina Simeone, Director of PennFuture’s Energy Center for Enterprise & the Environment.
Previously, Ms. Simeone worked on climate and energy issues as Policy Director for the Alliance for Climate Protection, the Washington, D.C.-based organization founded in 2006 by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Simeone was responsible for the organization’s work on climate and energy legislation in Congress and worked on the national climate campaign “Repower America.”
In a prior job, Simeone worked on climate and energy issues at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, where she served first as an executive policy specialist and then as special assistant to the DEP secretary for energy and climate change. Earlier in her career, Simeone worked at a private environmental consulting firm.
Simeone is Chair of the PA DEP’s Climate Change Advisory Committee and is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Clean Cities board of directors. She holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Pennsylvania, a B.A. in economics from the University of Miami (Fla.) and a B.S. in music from Drexel University.
