Join Providence Friends Meeting for their monthly Courageous Conversations & Inspired Pasta. Have a pasta lunch and hear Tucker Taylor speak on “How can economic growth be clean and green?”
J. Tucker Taylor is a professor of Economics at Temple University, where he teaches a Public Finance course exploring government’s role in a capitalist economy. Active in both research (on unemployment issues) as well as in the field on economic development in Algeria, Kenya, Liberia, Kazakhstan, and closer to home in Lancaster and Chester, PA. Professor Taylor, a life-long member of Providence Meeting, has also taught on Quakerism and written broadly on clean and green economic growth. Tucker Taylor will familiarize us with the vocabulary of economic growth and then lead us in envisioning what manner of growth might lead to a healthier, fairer society.
