Dr. Doug Tallamy is a professor in the University of Delaware’s Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology, author of four award-winning books, and an engaging speaker. His passion is promoting biodiversity and native plants. His newest project, the Homegrown National Park Map, seeks to convert residential yards into biodiverse oases of native plant habitats all over the country. Residents who use native plants can “put themselves on the map” to create a network of bird- and insect-friendly habitats. Both TTM and Keep Media Green will be promoting this project.

Keep Media Green will be bringing Dr. Tallamy to the Media Free Library on Sat, May 14th at 2pm to speak about the importance of protecting natural habitats and biodiversity. The talk will be free but space will be limited so if you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Keep Media Green at info@keepmediagreen.org right away.

There will be a reception with Dr. Tallamy Sat, May 14th at 4pm. The reception is a fundraiser for Keep Media Green and tickets are $50 per person. Again, space is limited, so you should reserve your space asap.

Registration required, space is limited.

For details: email info@keepmediagreen.org.

Co-sponsored by Keep Media Green, the Media-Upper Providence Free Library and Transition Town Media.
