Please join the community in helping the Thorpe First Nation Organic Family Farm in Newtown, PA – it is struggling with cleanup and planting in its continuing battle to prevent foreclosure. Between 11am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, all kinds of activities sponsored by community members to clean up, plant seedlings, meet new people, and take part in Native American culture, will be offered to friends of Thorpe Farm.
If you care about thriving families and farms this, one of the last Native American-owned farms, in historic Bucks County, is the best place to be during Earth Day Weekend. Owner Dale Redhawk Thorpe is related to Jim Thorpe and Daniel Boone.
Saturday: Volunteer Day! Take part in real farm work. Get some fresh air! We’re raising the roof and cleaning up the farm. Enjoy a lunch on us! Activities for the kids.
Sunday: Native American Recycling and Repurposing! Reusing is an art and a necessity for preserving civilization seven generations going forward. Join Bluejay Michalski and Nokomis Patterson for activities with kids and adults.
