What’s trash & litter got to do with the climate crisis? Most of our trash gets incinerated, which means it ends up back in our air and water. What doesn’t get collected as trash ends up as litter on our streets and clogs up our storm drains and other waterways.
So we need to “produce” less of the trash. Learn with the Trash Academy, a program of Mural Arts Philadelphia. And please join us to ban single-use plastic bags (& encourage reusable bags) in Philadelphia, by signing our petition here: sc.org/no-plastics-philly
If you have a surplus of reusable bags, please bring them! If you need a reusable bag, please take!
