Mobilization Workshop: Readying Yourself to Be an Effective Changemaker
Have recent events left you feeling the desire to contribute to change or stand in protection of your community? Are you itching to get involved but are unsure of the best, most effective way? Perhaps you see so much you want to do, but are feeling overwhelmed or concerned about burning out.
Join us for a 2-hour mobilization workshop that will help you engage in the type of effective, sustained progress we need to shift things in the right direction. We will focus on helping you find your place in this spectacular community engaged in grassroots change by helping you identify how to maximize your individual impact and find your niche(s) while avoiding the pitfalls of overextending or spinning your wheels.
The workshop will help you refine your focus by clarifying the skills and causes that you will find rewarding and areas you may need to develop to be an effective changemaker. The result of the workshop will be for each individual to have a clear statement regarding how they can channel their own gifts for the most effective, sustained impact.
This workshop is offered in conjunction with the March Take Action Fair. The Take Action Fair will include local change organizations who are looking for volunteers like you and can articulate what skillset they need most to create change.
** Enrollment is limited to 28. To hold your spot, please make a payment in an amount that makes sense to you. Proceeds will go toward funding the “Take Action Fair” in March. We are suggesting a payment of $5-20, but the choice is yours. Please confirm your spot today with a payment to paypal.me/EllenMorfei. Please note “mobilize 2/25” in the comments field and give your name if it’s not clear from your PayPal account. Again, all proceeds used for the Take Action Fair to be held in March and to support local organizations. ***
The workshop will be led by Kathy Paul with assistance from Ellen Morfei.
Kathy is a dynamic HR professional with 20 years of experience in talent management, education, leadership development, training, and participant-centered facilitaiton. Ellen Morfei is a mediator, facilitator, and community activist with extensive experience coaching people through internal and external conflict to help them achieve their goals.
