Join us in Philadelphia, in Scranton, or in Pittsburgh for conferences on Sunday afternoon, February 9th, 2020. Each conference location will have in-person local breakout workshops. We will join together for a dynamic keynote speaker (live-streamed), and for the official presentation of our Visionary Award.
How do we respond to climate change, build toward justice, and care for our Common Home when Pennsylvania has such a long history of extraction, and a habit of willful blindness to the impacts of our energy choices on our people, our communities, our land, our air, our water, and our climate?
Keynote speaker Colette Pichon Battle carries a wealth of knowledge from her own extraction-entwined homeplace on the Gulf Coast — and from her extraordinary resilience and justice work with frontline communities recovering from climate and fossil fuel disasters, and living with daily, immediate harms that don’t make the front page. Local workshop leaders will connect us with local solutions and ways to feed our spirits and communities as we do this needed work.
