3rd THURSDAY EVENINGS—PYM LIBRARY PRESENTS NEW FILM SERIES
Matthew Bennett has explored in depth many aspects of Transition Town culture. In a series of three evenings (March 21, April 18 and May 16) he will present his insights based on permaculture thinking, with film clips to illustrate, and ample time for discussion. For anyone interested in learning more about a Transition Town perspective on our society, this series will be informative and stimulating fun.
The evening will start at 6:00 and the presentation, including discussion is about 2 hours. We will provide a pot of yummy soup. You are welcome to bring a little potluck to add to the repast but please keep it simple and healthy. Bring your own bowls/plates/utensils if you can! $5 suggested donation. All are welcome.

“You Can’t Get There From Here, or You Can’t Solve A Problem with The Same Kind of Thinking that Created It”
Many environmental activists long ago gave up on the notion that “Technology is the Answer” because they saw that knowledge without wisdom creates catastrophes. Fair enough, but with the advent of Social Tech, we’re integrating a new human understanding into the game – and it’s changing us, too. We’ll discuss a selection of short videos from Coach Bennett that evoke an eco-social model of culture change. We’ll close by looking at some Real Life examples currently bubbling up in Philadelphia that you can already interact and engage with online and in-person.
