November 21, 7:30 pm
Swarthmore Friends Meetinghouse
At this panel discussion, Swarthmore College students Gabriel Brossy de Dios ’21 and Satchel Tsai ’23 will speak about their involvement with Sunrise Movement, a youth-led movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process. They will discuss topics including Sunrise’s theory of social change, the Green New Deal, and how people of all ages can be involved in the fight against climate change. The panel discussion will be followed by a question-and-answer session with members of the audience.
Sunrise is a national movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process. Founded two years ago, Sunrise is fervently working to make climate change an urgent priority across the country, end the influence of the fossil fuel industry on our politics, and elect leaders who fight for the health and wellbeing of all of us.
Sunrise writes that sure as the sun rises every morning, they are committed to bring us all together to save our world.
Please join us to learn about this exciting movement! All are welcome to attend.
