Transition Town Media (TTM) is hosting our 2nd Monthly Potluck on Monday, March 19, 6-9pm, in our new TTM Community Gatherings space on Lemon St between State and Baker St in Media, PA 19063 (look for the TTM signs). Come join us in a community space where all neighbors can come break bread together and engage openly, honestly, and positively about different themes throughout the year.
This month, we’ve invited TTM member, Rev. Dr. Joni Carley, to discuss her work at the United Nations as vice chair of the UN Coalition for Global Citizenship and member of the UN Committee on Spirituality, Values, and Global Concerns. Joni is immersed in transformative work around the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals – the planet’s 17-item To-Do list for creating a world where all can thrive. And because March 20th is International Day of Happiness, she will also talk about how important happiness is for realizing the UN’s goals.
After Joni sets the stage, we’ll open it up to hear what you think about happiness and creating a world where everyone thrives. How do we create the future we want? What actions can we take here in our community to realize a better future for all? All are welcome – bring your voice and your ideas. Let’s talk!
Remember to BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) potlucks to help make these events waste-free. Please bring your own plates, cups, utensils, napkin for the meal, as well as a dish to share and your favorite beverage. Beer and wine are ok. The event is free, but we appreciate donations to help us cover costs.
Keep your 3rd Mondays open for these get-togethers. We look forward to connecting with you every month! For more information, contact us as info@transitiontownmedia.org.
