Providence Friends Meeting presents Where Beauty Breaks Through, with the Pendle Hill Chorus, Jacqueline Coren, director.
This concert is part of the Meeting’s ongoing Inspired Pasta & Courageous Conversation.
Come enjoy a delicious pasta lunch by Francesco Bellini and the Peace and Social Action Culinary Team, followed by a program of choral singing, audience sharing and singalong.
Jacqueline Coren has been directing choruses for over 40 years. Originally trained at the University of California, Berkeley, she has Masters Degrees from Earlham School of Religion and Westminster Choir College. She was Assistant Conductor for the Singing City Chorus and Artistic Director of the Anna Crusis Women’s Choir. She has been the Director of Vocal Music at George School in Newtown, PA for over 20 years and is the founding director of the Pendle Hill Chorus, begun in 1993. She is known for her passion for encouraging even the shyest singers to explore the richness of their voices and to experience the depth and joy of connection to others through singing.
