Ever wonder what those colorful earthy glyphs are that we indifferently walk past after the rains? Have you heard about the high end gourmet wild foods served in fancy restaurants? Have you read of the mysterious forest medicines healing numerous tales of ill lately? Join Michael Weese of Mushroom Life & Delaware Permaculture for a Saturday fungal foray & id session and explore the wonderful world of fungi found around us.
We will foray along woodland paths and learn about collecting wild mushrooms for identification as well as culinary and medicinal use, then bring our collections back to an outdoor classroom area for a powerpoint presentation and tutorial on how to correctly ID what we’ve found.
Program Fee: $18 per person, $31 for couples, children attend for free. Contact us for pay-what-you-can requests, no one is turned away.
