Transition Town Media is hosting our 4th Annual Green Sunday Holiday Fair as an alternative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
We’re accepting vendor applications now through October 2, at 5 pm. Vendor are accepted on a rolling basis and tables have all ready been committed to several artists. If you’d like to be part of this wonderful local tradition, submit your vendor application today!
On Green Sunday, we encourage our community members to shop for holiday gifts from local crafters, artists, and upcyclers. This year will feature a combination of home-made items such as soap, honey, salves, and wool, as well as hand-crafted items such as jewelry, recycled paper books, textiles and a new category of “Upcycled” items, such as discarded wine bottles that are heated and shaped into serving dishes. Green Sunday will also include sweet treats and drinks, raffles, and more!
Green Sunday aims to promote local vendors and local artists and to engage our community in more ecological alternatives for holiday shopping. We will have baskets for free and for sale, as well as packing materials and wrap so that those attending the fair can literally go from booth to booth purchasing items and putting together their own “Media Local” gift baskets, just like the ones we will be raffling off. Don’t forget to get your raffle tickets! The prizes make a wonderful holiday gift! We will also have several drop in make your own craft stations. Come enjoy this festive holiday event. Everyone is welcome – kids and families too!
