Dianne Herrin has 8 years of experience in the energy field and is a partner with Practical Energy Solutions, a West Chester-based consulting group that helps its customers reduce energy use and costs. She is founder/past-Chair of West Chester Borough’s BLUER Committee (www.wcBLUER.org) and currently serves as an advisory member. As President of Moms for the Future, Dianne championed the successful effort to convert school buses in 5 Chester County districts to a locally grown B20 biodiesel blend. She also received the 2nd annual Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection Gene Wilson Award for her community-based energy reduction and climate mitigation work.
Most recently, Dianne teamed up with Bill Haaf, a career DuPont scientist, to start a grassroots group they call Ethical Energy. Ethical Energy is filling a gap in climate change advocacy by promoting responsible fossil fuel harvesting, production and use, which is founded on the universal principle of corporate responsibility and product stewardship. They believe this is essential to addressing climate change, and Dianne will discuss the group’s philosophy and goals.
