WITH CLIMATE CHAOS LOOMING, HOW CAN
WE INVEST IN OUR ENERGY FUTURE WITH
INTEGRITY?
COME JOIN PAULA KLINE as we examine our energy- and resource-intensive lifestyle, and consider ways to divest from coal, oil and gas — individually and collectively. A brighter and more responsible future beckons with renewable energy generated from wind, sun, water and geothermal heat. Other countries are showing the way, and the U. S. needs to catch up. YES, WE CAN !
Paula Kline, Quaker educator and peace and environmental activist, has a doctorate in Human Development from Harvard. In the 1980s she co-founded a project with a sister city in Nicaragua in support of the social justice revolution there. A member of Westtown Meeting, she and her husband developed an ecological program using teaching gardens at Westtown Friends School. She currently serves with the Eco-Justice Working group of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting and feels called to reach out to Quakers and others with her urgent environmental message.
