The November election is approaching and it’s time to think about how our electoral parties are going to be able to deal with the environment and what people in different parties think about global warming. Two local individuals, one a progressive and one a Republican, will give their perspectives. Then, we’ll hear about what people at the national level are doing to promote bipartisan action on climate change.
- Judy Wicks, is a progressive entrepreneur, author, speaker and mentor working to build a more compassionate, environmentally sustainable and locally based economy. She is best known as the founder of the White Dog Café. She will discuss Proud Pennsylvania, a campaign she founded for energy leadership and community prosperity by increasing self-reliance in sustainable local/regional and environmentally responsible economies.
- Gary Crane, is a Republican who lives in Newtown, Bucks County and has two grown children. He will tell us what global warming means to him and why.
Linda Rosenwein, Planet Philadelphia’s reporter, will be interviewed about individuals working to engender federal bipartisanship in the climate change area, particularly through using pricing of carbon emissions. They have considerable insights about the process and hope for progress.
