What if you could get solar panels installed on your roof for less money and less hassle? What if someone else did all the research and found the best installers, got them to provide bulk discounts, talked to the banks for great deals on financing, worked with local governments to streamline the permitting? Well, that’s exactly what Solarize Greater Media has done to make it as easy and affordable as possible to get solar for your home!
Saturday, Oct. 24th, 2-4pm at the Media Providence Friends School is where to be to learn all you need to know to get on board. TTM is partnering with the DVRPC (Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission) and the Delaware County Planning Department to bring this award-winning and proven “group buy” residential solar program to the Media area. Already rolled out in towns all over the country, the Solarize program is accelerating the growth of solar across the US. What do we mean by “Greater Media”? We want to keep it local, to about a 5-mile radius of the Media Courthouse. That would include the following towns: Aston, Brookhaven, Edgemont, Media, Middletown, Marple, Nether Providence, Newtown, Ridley, Rose Valley, Rutledge, Springfield, Swarthmore, and Upper Providence. Don’t live in one of those towns? If you’re not too much farther out, you may still be able to participate, but you would have to work that out with the installer. Part of the reason they can afford to give such great discounts is that the work is concentrated in a fairly small area.
Come join us for the Solarize Greater Media launch on Oct. 24th at the MPFS! You’ll get all the details about the Solarize program, what a great deal it will be for you if you qualify, what the long-term benefits will be, and why this is a great time to jump in. Representatives from the DVRPC and the County Planning Department will be there to provide details about the solar installation and permitting process. PECO’s Smart House Call will also be on hand with information about energy assessments and with some free energy-saving goodies. And you’ll get a chance to sign up for the program, with no obligation to eventually purchase a solar installation. The program will officially start this December and run through April 2016.
