Media Fellowship House invites members of the community to gather for an event which will express a sense of understanding, solidarity and camaraderie among neighbors. The national and international incidents of violence, provoked by hatred of all types, demand that people of good will come together to demonstrate the opposite sentiment.
The purpose of the gathering is to show that individuals, groups and organizations have the power to act, and that those positive, collaborative actions have results in progress towards peace and justice.
In addition to a brief period of silence for reflection, gestures of introduction and friendship will be encouraged. The event of about a half-hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, August 18, outside Media Fellowship House 302 S. Jackson St. (corner of Jackson and Franklin streets, one block south of Baltimore Pike.) Please gather around the property, being respectful of access to buildings and homes. On street parking is available, but posted residential parking regulations should be observed.
Please join Media Fellowship House, a non-profit organization (with no political or religious affiliation) established in 1944 to promote racial, social and economic justice—a mission which continues into the present.
